Chris Moyles meets the past

Set your VCR – Chris Moyles is to look at how the Radio 1 Breakfast Show has reflected life in Britain over the past 40 years during a one-off television documentary.

He'll chat to his predecessors including Tony Blackburn and Steve Wright.

Former hosts Mike Read, Mike Smith, Simon Mayo, Zoe Ball, and Sara Cox reveal the highs and lows of their reigns on Breakfast, and Blackburn explains why the Breakfast Show has always kept its finger on the pulse of the nation, according to the BBC schedule guide.

The Sun newspaper [link=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/2956778/Chris-Evans-says-no-to-appearing-in-Chris-Moyles-DJ-documentary.html]reports[/link] that Chris Evans refused to take part in the show. Moyles told the paper: "Chris doesn't want to talk to us which is a bit of a shame as his breakfast show was massive.

"It kind of changed the way breakfast shows are done."
