ABSOLUTE: Fabulous Q3 results

Absolute Radio, when combining all services together, is reporting a record reach of 2.4 million listeners, with hours at 18.2m.

But whilst specialist digital service Absolute 80s increases its reach to 564,000 listeners, the first quarter for Absolute Radio 90s comes in at 203,000 listeners.

Absolute Radio tell us: "The Absolute Radio network (Absolute Radio, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s, Absolute Classic Rock and Absolute Radio extra) has significantly grown the scale of its brand in today’s RAJAR results, posting its strongest total hours performance in nearly five years – and a nine year high in the important London market."

The Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show now has over a million listeners, and over half of the station’s listening across the network is now done via a digital platform with the industry average of 24.8 per cent for all radio.

“This performance significantly grows the scale of the Absolute Radio brand in just two years. We are now a much bigger business than we were before we launched, in fact we’re at a four and a half year high.” Said [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fonyR_7-IDM]Clive Dickens[/link], Chief Operating Officer, Absolute Radio.
