£100k Easter fundraiser for Real Scotland

Real Radio has raised £100,000 in one evening at its third annual ‘Easter Bash’ in aid of Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.

The event at Glasgow’s Hilton hotel included appearances from singers Amy MacDonald and The Proclaimers.

Real Radio talent winners Double Trouble performed too, along with community choir Soundsational. There was also an auction and raffle with prizes including a car, holidays to the US and an original signed Tom Jones painting.

Easter Bash Committee Chairman Derek Mallon said, “We are absolutely blown away by the amount of money we raised on the night, the generosity of everyone attending was overwhelming. We’ve exceeded our expectations and are already in talks to start planning next year’s event.”
