Audioboo celebrates with one million boos

Social audio platform Audioboo has appointed Rob Proctor as CEO, as the company reaches over one million uploaded boos.

Rob previously held the position of COO at Reality Digital and has been hired to drive Audioboo’s current expansion in international territories. Founder and former CEO Mark Rock is now President, overseeing future strategies and development of the partnerships such as the BBC.

Speaking about his new role, Rob commented: “It’s a hugely exciting time for me to join the Audioboo team. We have a great product and dedicated users, so we’re in a strong position when it comes to ramping up and cementing our reputation among new audiences. We have big plans for Audioboo in 2013. We’ll be moving into new markets and streamlining our offering, to consolidate Audioboo’s position as the home of the spoken word on the web”.

Mark Rock, Founder and President added: “Rob is great and Audioboo is great – a perfect combination. I chose Rob from over 15 shortlisted candidates because of his passion for the company’s vision, and its aim to own the social spoken word space online. He’s got a lot to do but hopefully with enough groundwork to get him off to a flying start. We’ll make a good team on this new chapter of the Audioboo story.”
