Singer Joe McElderry has hosted an edition of Alan Robson’s Night Owls show on Metro Radio & TFM – accomplishing his dream to present the phone-in.
Joe was on-air between 10pm and 2am on Monday night taking calls from all over the UK, talking about many topics including his latest single and the floods sweeping across the region.
Joe: “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do; so when Alan asked me to cover one of his holidays I jumped at the chance.
“I must admit I was very nervous before the show started as you just don’t know what people will ring up and want to discuss with you. That said, this is what makes the show so interesting; I took calls on loads of different subjects and enjoyed a few duets with some of the callers. It was a really fun experience and I’d definitely be up for doing it again if Alan will have me back!”
Producing the show for Joe was Gaynor Marshall who works alongside Alan six nights a week, she said: “Joe was brilliant and the show was incredibly busy. We had listeners calling from all over the UK and Joe seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself. We would defiantly love to have him back.”
Night Owls is broadcast from Bauer Media’s Metro Radio and is networked to sister station TFM Radio.
