UK producers and presenters up for awards

Manchester based production and imaging company Devaweb has been nominated for an award at the Worldwide Radio Summit in Los Angeles.

The awards, designed to showcase people, stations and companies that excel within the industry, will be presented in May, as part a three-day radio conference.

devawebFounder Chris Stevens, who lived in the USA for five years while working at TM Studios, spoke of his delight at being nominated: “It’s great to be recognised like this. We’ve always seen ourselves as an international company, and this goes to reinforce my views that the UK is a world leader in imaging and branding. Plus, with jingles from our sister company Ignite on air across the USA, it’s really exciting to be up with the best in LA.”

Other UK-connected talent up for awards at the conference include Paul Armstrong from Redefined Media, and Australian consultant Phil Dowse for his work with Absolute Radio. Christian O’Connell and Ian Camfield are also up for awards in the International Radio Personality category.

And two British record labels are also nominated in the Best International Indie Label – Infectious, and XL Recordings.
