Ad agency Radio PR acquired by 72point

A new partnership between a PR survey provider and a specialist radio broadcast agency has been formed as 72Point takes on Radio PR.

The move will deliver consumer coverage across national and regional newspapers and radio stations for major agencies and in-house PR teams.

72pointCEO of 72Point John Sewell says the partnership will guarentee clients coverage on stations with a combined weekly reach of at least one million people.

He says: “Offering our clients such an extensive reach is a big, bold move – but that’s exactly what we’re about at 72Point and Radio PR. We are taking the initiative and leading the way.

“Bringing in an outstanding radio specialist as we have with Radio PR is another way in which we are able to deliver more – in terms of results and value – for the people we work with.”

The primary focus of the acquisition will be to provide editorial content specifically targeted to different station audiences, which will run alongside the existing survey-based national news content from 72Point.

Chris Brooks, co-founder of Radio PR said: “The fit with 72Point is evident and logical.

“We see every day the interesting content they are providing to the print and online media and to now be able to package that for broadcast is great news for everyone.

“As highly experienced presenters, producers and journalists, we are completely confident this partnership will have great appeal to radio stations across the BBC and commercial networks and will deliver exceptional results.”

Radio PR’s Chris Brooks has presented on Capital FM, Heart and Galaxy, and continues to present a show on the Heart FM network. Jonny Baker is an experienced producer, with extensive experience working for the BBC.
