Production and programme company Blue Revolution is to raise money for The Make A Wish Foundation UK again this Christmas.
The company is offering radio stations the chance to air its Christmas Day With Santa radio show in exchange for a small donation.
Ivan Laskov, Blue Revolution’s Senior Content Producer explained, “Not only do these year-end specials allow PDs to give their presenters time off to spend with their loved ones, they’re also a great way for stations to drive additional local sponsorship revenue at the busiest time of year.”
Now in its fourth year, Christmas Day With Santa combines sketches and festive music to create a family-friendly show that encourages children and their parents to listen to the radio at Christmastime.
“It’s all about creating a safe environment where children can enjoy Santa hosting his own radio shows once he’s arrived back in Lapland after delivering their presents,” Ivan told RadioToday.
The programme also raises funds for The Make A Wish Foundation UK, who provide magical wishes to children & young adults facing life-threatening illnesses.
Other shows on offer this year include Kim Wilde’s Christmas Collection (available in international markets), as well as all-new editions of The All Time 100 #1 Hits and The New Year’s Vibe.
Blue Revolution’s festive range of programming is hosted by well-known broadcasters including Pat Sharp, Gary King, Claire Sturgess, Paul Hayes and Nigel Williams.
