The Kaiser Chiefs and tenor Alfie Boe are signed up to perform at this year’s Radio Academy Awards.
It’s the third year that live music will be included during the event, with Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow headlining previous years.
Both will perform for the hundreds of hopefuls on Monday 12th May at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. This year Kaiser Chiefs are also set to play at V Festival, T in the Park and Glastonbury, alongside a number of European dates and a North American Tour before starting 2015 with two Arena shows at London’s O2 and the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
Meanwhile, Les Misérables star Alfie Boe has sold over 1.5 million records in the UK, had four Top Ten albums, two sell-out tours, a run of US Dates and recently completed a sold-out UK Arena Tour.
John Myers, Chairman of The Radio Academy Awards said: “To have both the Kaiser Chiefs and Alfie Boe performing live underlines how much the Awards have grown over recent years. They are at the top of their game and it’s a fitting finale to the biggest radio night of the year.”
