A radio news service set up four years ago has just celebrated delivering one million bulletins to subscribers.
Radio News Hub was created by a small team of four journalists and an accountant to provide an alternative news service to community, ex-pat and small commercial radio stations.
The service is now heard on two hundred radio stations including Chris Country, Power on Lanzarote and Nation Radio.
Jamie Fletcher, one of the directors of Radio News Hub, says, “This is a fantastic achievement! One million bulletins full of the stories that influence our daily lives is staggering! We started in a dark basement office and now we have our own 24-hour broadcast suite.
“From humble beginnings, and with the much appreciated support of our clients, we’ve grown significantly in just four years!”
Stephanie Otty, director, added, “… and we’re not stopping there! We plan to expand so we can provide quality news to even more radio stations and media outlets!”
Jon Francis and Dave Utley added: “We really are an alternative service. We’re cost effective; always on standby 24/7 … and really nice people to deal with!”
As well as news bulletins, Radio News Hub provide regular sport, travel, weather and entertainment updates and can provide a variety of packages based on clients’ needs.
