Two former Capital producers join Absolute Radio

Rob Watson is joining Absolute Radio as Programme Manager, whilst Sam Van Geffen joins as Producer of the Dave Berry Breakfast show.

Formerly an Executive Producer of Capital/Capital Extra, Rob will replace Dave Masterman who leaves the station in February. Rob will be responsible for developing and mentoring new on-air/off-air talent as well as leading upcoming major station initiatives and integrated branded content partnerships.

Sam Van Geffen was most recently producer of the Capital Breakfast show in Liverpool and previously worked at Bauer Radio’s Rock FM and The Hits. Sam will work alongside Mark Lockett (Executive Producer) who joined the station from Radio 1’s Scott Mills show last September.

Dave Masterman is moving North and joining the MediaCityUK based independent production company, Audio Always as Head of Content. He will lead the team responsible for delivering a range of broadcast content across the BBC and commercial networks, as well as audio projects for streaming and digital platforms.
