A number of presenters from Global’s radio brands hosted the Make Some Noise annual charity gala at London’s Finsbury Square on Monday.
The event raised £850,000 for charity, as music artists including Robbie Williams, Tom Walker and Freya Ridings took to the stage to perform live in front of almost 500 special guests .
Global united all its radio brands for the event – Heart, Capital, Smooth, Classic FM, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold – to help children and young people living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.
Presenters including Myleene Klass from Classic FM and Smooth; Heart’s Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston, Kelly Brook, JK, Mark Wright, Jenni Falconer and Toby Anstis; Marvin Humes from Capital; Capital Breakfast’s Vick Hope and Sonny Jay; Tim Lihoreau and Alan Titchmarsh from Classic FM; Smooth Radio’s Tina Hobley and Angie Greaves; as well as LBC’s Nick Ferrari and James O’Brien, plus Johnny Vaughan from Radio X all gave their support on the night.
Stephen Miron, Group CEO of Global, said: “It has been another incredible night for Global’s Make Some Noise and to raise a staggering £850,000 in one evening is fantastic. Since we created Global’s Make Some Noise six years ago, more than £18 million has been raised to support 256 charities across the UK. I am so proud of what we have achieved.
