Joe Kilday leaves Central FM after a decade

Central FM in Stirling has announced the departure of its breakfast show presenter and former programme controller Joe Kilday.

Joe has been with the station since 2010 and was PC for 8 years until January 2018. Before joining Central FM he’d been a presenter at stations including Scot FM, Clyde 1 and Clyde 2, West FM, Q96 and Real Radio Scotland.

He told RadioToday: “After 10 years hosting the breakfast show, I now feel it is time to move on to new challenges. A new opportunity has come up and I’m really looking forward to what will be a new and exciting phase in my career. I have loved my time and the team at Central FM and wish them all the very best for the future.”

Station Manager Ann Marie Miller added: “Joe has been a valued member of the team at Central FM, he has been instrumental in helping to develop the careers of some young broadcasters starting out in the business and has been a passionate and driven advocate for local radio in Scotland. We would like to thank Joe for his hard work and dedication to Central FM and wish him well in his new venture.”

Joe’s last show was this morning (28th Feb), and the station says an announcement will be made soon about who’s taking over the slot.
