BBC Asian Network on the lookout for new talent

BBC Asian Network is looking for new presenters to join the station who will host their own shows from March 2021.

The talent search initiative is looking for 12 new voices who live and breathe British Asian culture and have a passion for reporting on the latest in music, current affairs and the world of entertainment.

The search for new voices will focus on those whose strengths lie in presenting however, Asian Network welcomes applications from people with and without previous radio experience. The selected twelve will host four two-hour Sunday shows each from March 2021 to February 2022.

Applications are now open via the uploader on the BBC Asian Network website and will close at midnight on 24th January 2021.

Ahmed Hussain, Head of BBC Asian Network says: “Asian Network is all about your voice and I’m excited to hear from the next generation of presenters from right across the UK. This is a chance to represent what you’re really about and what you can bring to the Asian Network.

“We’ve created a brand new two-hour slot on Sundays to ensure that we give the best opportunities to our stars of tomorrow. The great thing about this is that you don’t even need previous radio experience!”
