Henrie Kwushue joins KISS for weekend radio shows

KISS has hired 25-year-old DJ, presenter and broadcaster Henrie Kwushue to host the weekend early breakfast show from 9th January 2021.

Best known for her work on Spotify’s Who We Be UK’s podcast and contribution to the No Signal Radio station online, Henrie also famously presented the Thursday evening drivetime show on community station, Reprezent Radio.

Following her production company’s (HTK Production) docuseries ‘IS YOUR AREA CHANGING’ in 2020, Henrie won the Dazed 100 fund, which allowed her to hire creatives from underprivileged backgrounds to work on the production of a series of short films under the title ‘Untold Stories’.

On joining the station, Henrie said “I’m really excited to be joining Kiss FM. THE KISS FM!!! I’m excited to be the first thing people hear early on a weekend and I’m so happy to be joining the Kiss family.”

KISS’ Content Director, Rebecca Frank said, “Henrie is one of the UK’s most exciting energies right now. Blending infectious passion for music and culture, with personal connection to listeners – this is just the start for Henrie on KISS. We can’t wait for her to be part of our next phase of evolution in 2021. Bring it!”

Current Weekend Breakfast host Charlie Powell is departing the station in order to pursue new opportunities which will be announced soon.

Rebecca Frank added, “We send a huge thanks to Charlie who has contributed a great deal to KISS over the years both on and behind the mic. We wish her all the best on her next adventure.”
