Rob Charles to host All Oldies Radio breakfast

Broadcaster Rob Charles is taking over the breakfast show at online station All Oldies Radio.

Rob Charles has been providing his syndicated “Songs That Don’t Get Played On The Radio Anymore” for the past few months at the station.

Rob said: “I so love All Oldies Radio. The music library is massive and I’ll be taking full advantage of it as I’m honoured to start waking up the UK, 7am Weekdays from the 1st of February.”

Director Russ Dee says the station will be joining DAB this year and has provided a station update for us.

He said: “When Rob said yes to All Oldies Radio, it reconfirmed that we had something special that outstanding broadcasters want to be a part of.

“Our music format has been refreshed. We have become more focussed towards the 40 to 65 female demographic. With this comes a new strapline of ‘Classic Hits Now’. This defines exactly what we play. Our music is constantly tested, researched, upbeat and fun.

“With DAB outlets on the way through 2021 and by securing Rob Charles, it enhances our commitment to high quality programming and broadcasting standards.

“Our weekday lineup is stronger than ever. Nicky Smith continues to be a real favourite from 10am, TV/Radio legend, and company chairman, Phil Fothergill (Fothers) will host from 1pm. I will also be live from 3pm with Director Ian Noakes at 6pm, rounding off with ex Chiltern Radio favourite and Director, Tony Lloyd, from 9pm.

“Overnights and weekends continue to provide brilliant entertainment with the return of The Emperor Rosko.

“Company Directors Paul Gray & Lynsey Dolan will feature alongside Paul Blundell, Mikey Faulkner, Mark Zeall, Adrian Gough, Dan Woodward, Simon Marshall, Mark Gale and Mike Menner. We’ll also have a selection of fantastic specialist shows”.

“Radio News Hub and Radio Travel News will continue to provide vital updates around the clock.

“Our new jingle package is supplied by Jingles 24 with Alan Courtright continuing as our corporate voice. New mobile apps and a refreshed Alexa skill are all on the way before 1st February 2021, including a refreshed website.”
