Audio production company Audio Always has launched a new Visual Podcast Studio at MediaCity.
The new recording space is set up to record broadcast-quality audio and video, with in-built auto-switching HD cameras.
The space can accommodate four people for round table recordings with guests also able to join on Zoom, FaceTime, Google Hangouts and Skype.
The studio also works for live streaming projects, remote conference hosting and in-vision content for social media.
Stuart Morgan, Managing Director at Audio Always told RadioToday: “More and more we’re being asked to record podcasts that not only sound great but look great. Being able to visualise sessions will be a huge benefit to anyone who wants to create shareable social content to accompany their podcast.”
The new studio launches as research by Edison reveals nearly 20% of podcast listeners view YouTube as their primary podcast listening platform and Spotify roll out video podcasts on their platform.
The studio has already welcomed famous faces through its doors, including Louise Minchin, John Whaite, Michelle Ackerely, Craig Charles and the hosts of Sofa Cinema Club.
The new facility is in addition to the company’s two existing studios at MediaCity, including a dedicated audiobook suite.
Located at Arrive in the White Tower at MediaCity, the new recording space is a partnership between Audio Always and Peel Media.
Speaking of the collaboration, Rebekah Beere, Arrive Community Manager said: “Working with local creative businesses is at the core of what we do at MediaCity and we’ve been delighted to work with the Audio Always team on this new podcast studio which all of our immediate Arrive community and others across MediaCity can access and benefit from.”
