Two in the running for Bedford small-scale DAB multiplex

Ofcom will have at least two applications for the small-scale DAB digital radio multiplex for Bedford.

Bedford Digital Radio will apply for the licence along with Bedford DAB, both with local links to the area.

A local online station called Bedford Radio is behind the bid by Bedford Digital Radio, founded by Martin Steers and Anita Powell.

The Bedford DAB project is led by presenter Tony Dibbin along with engineer Ian Hickling and radio professional Nik Fox.

Both companies are looking for expressions of interest by any station looking at using DAB in the area. You can contact Bedford Digital Radio via bedforddigitalradio.com and Bedford DAB can be contacted via this website.

The closing date for applications in Round 3 is April 25th and you can see all know known bidders so far at RadioToday.co.uk/dab/round3.
