East Lincolnshire Broadcasting CIC has been created to apply for the Small Scale DAB Multiplex across the towns of Boston, Spalding and Skegness.
Directors Dylan Taylor and Tristan Cullen are working with Samuel Hunt of Maxxwave who is providing access to the technology needed.
They are seeking interested parties that would like to broadcast on the multiplex, from local community services to local, regional, and national.
Dylan said: “New digital radio stations for East Lincolnshire are very welcome for this area. We can’t wait to work with the smaller online community services and help them take advantage of these new and exciting opportunities.”
Tristan said: “There is a real lack of media opportunities in Lincolnshire and this will help to change that landscape as well as offering more choice to Digital Radio listeners in the area.”
ELBC says it is making its commitment clear about working with all community services across Boston Borough, South Holland and East Lindsey as well as helping to establish new ones.
Dylan Taylor, added: “We have considered the nature of our area and have adjusted our rates accordingly. We welcome a rich, diverse, choice provided by interested service providers and invite them to get in touch.”
