Times Radio launches new evening schedule for Autumn

Times Radio is making changes to its evening schedule from Monday 10 October.

Kait Borsay will present weekday evenings, and there are new late-night shows for Henry Bonsu and Darryl Morris.

The Evening Edition hosted by Kait Borsay, will air from 8pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday evenings.

A broadcast journalist for over 20 years, Kait has been with Times Radio for two years, having previously worked at Sky News, ITN, Reuters and TalkRadio.

Kait said: “After two years looking after the late-night audience on Times Radio, I’m thrilled to be fronting a shiny new show! Whether you’re preparing dinner in the kitchen, ferrying teens in the car, or enjoying a bit of downtime at the end of the day, The Evening Edition will bring you insightful conversations and opinions on some of the biggest stories of the day. And some well-known voices to tickle your fancy. I can’t wait to get started!”

Mondays to Wednesdays at 10pm will continue with Carole Walker, but on Thursdays and Fridays, Henry Bonsu gets a permanent slot for the first time, hosting 10pm-1am.

After starting out in print journalism, Henry moved into broadcasting, working with BBC News and Current Affairs, Radio 4’s Today Programme, and BBC London Radio. He’s been an analyst on Sky News, Al Jazeera, and MSNBC, and is one of the UN’s most sought after conference moderators. He joined Times Radio as a cover presenter last year.

Henry said: “One of the many reasons I love Times Radio is that the station allows presenters to cultivate their own unique style. I was once called “too intellectual” by a former boss, but here I’m free to drop in the occasional French or Swahili expression, and be a little idiosyncratic in my approach. I enjoy listening to colleagues earlier in the day, then challenging myself to find a new way of breaking down stories for our audience, then looking ahead to the next day’s agenda.”

Darryl Morris is joining Times Radio to take over the 10pm late show on Saturday and Sunday night. He started his broadcasting career aged 16 in Manchester at Key 103. He spent time with the BBC, XFM and Hits Radio, before moving into speech radio in 2019, joining TalkRadio.

Darryl says: “When I was a boy, I would snuggle under my covers and dream of chatting on late night radio – that precious, intimate corner of the media. Late night radio is a special place and so too is Times Radio. We’ll come together on the weekend and wrap our heads around the news, speak to interesting guests and get intelligent insight from people in the know. It is – literally – a dream come.”
