Radio presenter David Prever has made an emotional announcement to listeners at BBC Radio Oxford saying he is leaving the station.
He’ll leave the breakfast show in Oxford, where he’s been for the last six years, at the end of April.
He has worked on the radio for over 30 years including at Metro, Heart, Magic, LBC, talkSPORT, Smooth, GWR and many others.
David is moving to Radio News Hub to take on the position of Head of Programming responsible for further developing the programming and content proposition of company, which founders Stephanie Otty and Jamie Fletcher have formed over the last nine years.
The appointment comes amid investment in Radio News Hub from private equity backed media group, markettiers4DC.
Speaking about the appointment, David said: “I am over the moon to be joining Radio News Hub as Head of Programming and can’t wait to develop and enhance its content and programme propositions to stations not only in the UK, but across Europe, Australia, and Asia.
“I have spent four incredible decades working within the radio industry and know this is the perfect opportunity to translate my knowledge into a commercial broadcast organisation that is on a fantastic growth trajectory.”
Founders of Radio News Hub, Stephanie Otty and Jamie Fletcher, added, “We are beyond excited that David is joining our growing team and can’t wait to accelerate our growth plan and enhance our content proposition courtesy of his industry expertise, contacts and experience.”
