In photos: Thousands attend NAB Show 2023 in Las Vegas

The annual NAB Show in Las Vegas, now in its 100th year, has welcomed over 65,000 attendees from all over the world, including a handful from the UK.

The event is a trade show and conference for all broadcasters in the United States and beyond, with a strong emphasis on television and technology.

The previously separate event, NAB Radio Show, is now incorporated into one show.

There are three giant exhibition halls with over a thousand companies involved, including RCS, Broadcast Bionics, RadioDNS, Enco, Adobe, Rode and TM Studios.

Aiir’s CEO Ricki Lee and COO Dave Brierley-Jones were also in town offering demonstrations of their radio automation software and website content management system, including a preview of their latest cloud-based music scheduler for radio stations.

Nick Piggott, project director at RadioDNS was part of a session on Broadcasters and Hybrid Radio – It’s All About the Metadata (NABA) – whilst James Cridland flew in to present the latest data and trends he is seeing in the podcasting industry.

James was joined on stage by veteran radio and broadcast consultant Valerie Geller as they discuss Cridland’s findings and the state of the podcast industry.
