Radio Essentials and Sheffield DJ Lee Martin has passed away.
Lee was known for his classic DJ sets at Sheffield club Niche and his Friday Night ‘Bassline Essentials’, and ran his own company Nostalgia Sheffield.
The station paid tribute, saying: “His love for deep house, bass, and garage music made him a respected figure in the industry. With a career spanning back to 1995, his passion for the underground music scene was evident in every set he played.
“As tributes pour in from fans, fellow DJs, and friends, it’s clear that Lee’s impact on the music community will be remembered for years to come.”
Essentials will be posting a selection of shows in its Catch Up service from Lee in the coming days.
