Steve Madden has joined South Coast station Victory to present weekend late shows.
He’s best known for his 15 years on Radio 2, before working across BBC and commercial TV and Radio.
Steve tells RadioToday: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Victory. They have a clear vision for the station, and a relentless ambition to create an output that emulates all that was good about radio when the original Victory was on air.
“Late night radio is an absolute passion of mine, and with a free choice of music and the mandate to present in a style that I’m comfortable with, it didn’t take me long to accept their offer!”
Neil Crespin, Victory PD added: “We are delighted to have Steve on board. A presenter of his ability and experience proves once again Victory’s determination to bring in the best talent it can to support our new brand proposition of providing listeners with ‘Radio like it used to Be.”
Madden added: “I can’t wait to get started at Victory, and even after all these years, I will probably have those same butterflies in my stomach on January 6th as I did when I first joined the BBC”.
Victory recently announced the arrivals of BBC Royal Correspondent Nicholas Witchell, former Radio 2 presenter and Strictly Come Dancing voice, Alan Dedicoat, and former Victory stalwart Anton Darby to their presenter line up.
