Greg James devoted a good five minutes to talking about jingles and power intros during his breakfast show at BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday.
The discussion, normally reserved for internal meetings and the JingleMad Forums, followed a listener commenting on how much he enjoyed the “One-tros”.
Caller Ali requested a power intro, which in turn prompted other listeners to get in touch saying they also liked the audio elements.
Greg checked if he worked in radio before continuing and playing various examples.
Radio 1 Producer Luke Berry also joined in the conversation, who makes some of the power intros with a larger team.
