Hits Radio breakfast show co-host Fleur East shared news that her last day on air before she becomes a mum will be this Friday February 9th, with TV and Magic presenter Angellica Bell lined up for cover.
Speaking on air just after 8am Fleur said: ‘I can’t believe it’s my last week, it’s honestly flown by. But I am ready to get in the zone now, I need to get home, I need to start nesting and I need to try and sleep whilst I have any time left!
“The thought of taking a break is a little bit weird, but I am so pleased to say that one of my good friends, Angellica Bell, is going to be the one looking after things for me.”
Angellica later joined Fleur, and her new co-hosts James and Matt to reveal that it was Fleur who had asked her to join the Hits Radio family.
She said: “I was so honoured when you called and asked me to cover, I just thought ‘yeah, I’m going to do justice for your job, be here and then when you’re ready you come back. I am so excited for you and you are going to be an amazing Mum but now we just want you to take some time out and chill out!”
Already a familiar face at Bauer, Angellica will still be on Magic Radio with her Saturday morning show alongside her new role on Hits Radio.
