Molly Guinness, Rob Littlejohn and Adam Uytman join Radio Academy trustee board

Three new radio folk are joining The Radio Academy board of trustees following a tie for second place.

Following an election by Radio Academy Members, Molly Guinness, Rob Littlejohn and Adam Uytman have been announced as the new additions.

The charity opened elections for new trustees in January, seeking two trustees to join the board. In unprecedented circumstances, there was a tie in the results for the second trustee position.

To honour the results of the members’ vote, the trustees have invited the three trustees who gained the top number of votes to join the board.

Molly Guinness is executive producer of Times Radio Breakfast, which has received award nominations for best breakfast programme.

Rob Littlejohn is Head of Audio for Fire in the Booth on Apple Music and also runs a production company working across the radio, independent and podcast sector.

Adam Uytman is joining ReelWorld as Director of Client Relations and Business Development, and was previously International Development Director at Acast.

Molly, Rob and Adam join the board this month, starting a three year term as trustees. Stepping down this month after election in 2021 are Kathryn Anastasi (TalkSport), Adele Cross (BBC Radio 1Xtra) and Will Jackson (WorldDAB).

The board will now consider opportunities for co-opted Trustees to join the board, following a board skills analysis, to ensure all requisite experience and areas of the industry are well represented.

Welcoming the new trustees to the board, Chair of The Radio Academy board Helen Thomas said: “I’m delighted that Molly, Rob and Adam will be joining the Trustees. Their experience and passion will add to the brilliant array of talent on the board, and I know we all look forward to working with them all. We are also pleased that we could honour the votes of the membership and invite all three of them to join us.

“I’d like to publicly thank the outgoing Trustees for their service over the last three years. All have contributed hugely to a period of terrific growth and continued evolution for the charity, and I know all our members will be hugely grateful.”
