Former Radio Luxembourg, Magic, Gold and BBC presenter Shaun Tilley is joining Mike Read’s new online station Heritage Chart Radio.
Until recently, he’d been heard on the BBC hosting the My Radio 1 and Top of the Pops Playback series alongside daytime programmes on BBC Radio Sussex and BBC Radio Surrey.
Shaun will now be launching a series of weekday mid-morning shows on Heritage Chart Radio between 10am and 1pm from Monday 12th February.
Shaun said: “I love the idea of a station that plays a wider selection of classic songs and current music recorded by celebrated Heritage acts.
“Mike and consultant programmer Phil Ward-Large are both good friends of mine and two colleagues I have the utmost respect for. The Heritage Chart itself is becoming increasingly more important in promoting new music from much loved artists who bizarrely struggle to get airplay and the TV show is now on channels such as Now 80s and Talking Pictures.
“I’m really looking forward to helping raise the profile of the station in any way I can and playing fantastic songs from bands and singers I go back a long way with as a DJ over the last 40 years.”
Heritage Chart Radio can be heard online where you can also vote for the weekly Top 40.
Shaun will continue to host his daily Big Drive Home show between 4-7pm on DAB station Liverpool Live Radio.
