Boom Radio to celebrate 60th anniversary of Radio Caroline launch

This Easter, Boom Radio is to celebrate 60 years since the launch of Radio Caroline with a range of special programmes.

On Thursday 28th March 2pm – 4pm Roger Day, who was on board Caroline in the 60s, will broadcast his regular Boom programme from a ship off Harwich. He says of his Caroline days: “It just felt as though I was meant to be there”.

Later in the evening other former Caroline presenters Tom Edwards and Nick Bailey will reflect on their pirate days and play some of the era’s music.  Keith Skues will deliver some of the news headlines the station made in its early days and Emperor Rosko will also join the station for the day.

Then from Good Friday though to Easter Monday, The Boom All Time Chart as voted by listeners, will air 10am – 2pm each day.
