ALL FM 96.9 is teaming up with local fundraiser and grant-maker Forever Manchester to host a Marathon Radio Show.
Starting Saturday 12th October at 12 noon and finishing Sunday 13th Oct at 2.15pm, ALL FM presenters will take part in the radio equivalent of a marathon, a 26.2-hour show.
Highlighting the work of ALL FM and Forever Manchester, the event will also aim to raise funds for these Manchester organisations and the show will talk about the work of Manchester community organisations, Manchester musicians and shine a light on the city.
ALL FM, Breakfast presenter Alan, Ruth from the Sunday Tea show and Sadia from Culture Mix, will be joined by Terry from the Forever Manchester show to host the marathon show.
Terry says: “I’m not sure what to expect apart from a lack of sleep, but it’s a worthwhile challenge, so bring it on.”
The team will be joined by Terry’s colleague Kev Duxbury from Forever Consulting, who will attempt to complete a full marathon in tandem with the show by running an entire marathon at one mile an hour for each hour of the 26.2 hours.
ALL FM Director, Ed Connole says: “This is the first time that we’ve attempted something like this. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
