Llanelli’s community hospital radio station, Radio BGM, is updating its station sound with a new jingle package from PURE Jingles.
The station, which turned 50 earlier this year, will air the new package for the first time, this Saturday, 24th August from 10am.
The package was made possible thanks to government funding via the Shared Prosperity Fund ‘SPF’ courtesy of Carmarthenshire County Council.
In April, the station secured over £46k in funding, which will also be used for studio modernisation, enabling the charity to install audio over IP (AOIP) equipment.
Radio BGM Head of Programming Gareth Hurford said: “Working with PURE was just a dream come true for both myself and the station. From the initial conversation with Thomas right through to that hotly anticipated delivery date, they involved us in every step of the creative process.
“The team hit the brief we gave them right on the head and produced a modern, contemporary sound whilst also acknowledging our heritage and brand.
“This is the biggest change in our on-air sound we’ve undergone in fifty years, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m excited to hear them on air and blending with our mix of music.”

PURE Jingles has created jingles for a small number of UK stations but is widely used across Europe, with current or past clients including Capital, Smooth, BBC Radio 1, NRJ, Sky Radio, KTU New York and more.
