After 22 years, Les Ross will once again be heard on BRMB with Les Ross in the Morning.
Initially, Les will be back for the first anniversary of BRMB’s return on 4th September, and then full-time from the end of September.
BRMB was rebranded from its original name, Big City Radio last year. Les hosted the Breakfast show on the original BRMB from 1976. He has won numerous awards, including the Variety Club Independent Radio Personality of the Year Award in 1985 and a Sony Award in 1989 for the UKs best breakfast show and another for his outstanding contribution to radio in 1997.
In 1996 he was awarded an MBE for his services to radio broadcasting.
Les Ross said: “I’ve finished cutting the back lawn for the summer and need something to do in the mornings.
“I can’t wait to reconnect with the listeners and bring some fun and energy back to their mornings on BRMB.”
Paul Ellery, who revived BRMB last year with Muff Murfin, has been working to bring Les to the station, he says: “Les Ross is an integral part of BRMB’s history, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him back where he belongs, I can’t wait for him to get us out of bed!”
Les Ross in the Morning can be heard on BRMB from the end of September, Monday to Friday, starting at 7am.
