Manchester’s Lyca Radio new schedule includes local and networked shows

Lyca Radio in Manchester is launching a new schedule which includes a mix of local programming and networked shows from London sister stations Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold.

The rebranding to Lyca Radio Greater Manchester, previously known as Asian Sound, took place in April 2024 following its acquisition in December 2023.

New weekday local programming includes Breakfast with Fazeela at 7am, the Mid-Morning Show with Ibn-E-Tabish at 10am and Drive with Riz Khan at 4pm.

The afternoon show at 1pm will be Vish Bhatnagar from Lyca Radio London and Anisa Nasir’s The Big Show, will be networked with Lyca Gold from London, at 7pm.

The weekend lineup includes Weekend Breakfast with Emiel Khan, Ritu Sharma networked with Lyca Gold London, a local Afternoon Show with Rubina Khan, the Lyca Radio Network Chart Show with Niraj, and Vintage Gold with Sandy Shah from 7pm to 10pm.

The Manchester station also plans to expand its programming with regional language shows, introducing Bengali and Punjabi content soon.
