The Lyca Radio Network has launched its largest outdoor marketing campaign to date, for the introduction of Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester.
This follows the network’s acquisition of Asian Sound Radio in December 2023, as the group works to expand its footprint across the UK.
Since the acquisition, the station now includes content broadcast from its Manchester studios, alongside shows from Lyca Radio – Greater London and Lyca Gold – Greater London.
The marketing campaign, led by Ethnic Market Research, aims to establish Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester as a prominent voice in the region.
As a part of this, the station’s branding has been strategically placed across Greater Manchester and nearby areas, including ads on over 100 buses and multiple billboards throughout the city.
To engage listeners, the campaign includes a competition, encouraging people to ‘Spot the Billboard’ and ‘Spot the Bus’ featuring the station’s branding.
Participants are invited to take photos and tag them on the station’s Instagram page, with a chance to win a gift hamper.
Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network said: “Our new station, Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester continues to make inroads with robust content and connect with the listeners and various communities in the region.
“We’re delighted to be working with EMR on this fantastic marketing initiative to further amplify the work our team is doing.”
Bilal Zia, Director of EMR, added: “Working with Lyca Radio was an absolute pleasure. Lyca Radio’s values and vision align with ours, making this partnership a perfect fit. We’re proud to collaborate and innovate together.”
