Gaydio Pride Awards 2025 provide a night of celebration from Manchester

Gaydio once again took centre stage on Friday, 14th March, hosting the Gaydio Pride Awards 2025 live from Manchester’s Hilton Hotel.

The event, which honours individuals, organisations, and initiatives shaping LGBTQ+ lives, was shared on the radio and on social platforms.

The night featured 13 awards, with live performances from Tulisa, MOBO nominee Katy B, BBC-formed K-pop band DearALICE, and Drag Race UK star La Voix.

Hosts Danny Beard and Billy Andrew brought the Purple Carpet to life in partnership with Audio Always podcast The Gossip Gays podcast, sharing exclusive interviews and social media highlights.

Even ITV’s Granada Reports featured a live insert, marking the event’s growing impact.

Backstage, Gaydio aired artist interviews and winner reactions, with standout speeches from Simon Jones (Outstanding Entertainment Contribution) and Russell T Davies (Gaydio Icon Award) replayed throughout the weekend.

Reflecting on the event, Gaydio Content Director Kriss Herbert said: “What started as an on-air feature has evolved into a landmark event. The Gaydio Pride Awards connect us with our audience, amplifying LGBTQ+ voices across radio, social media, and beyond.”
