The shortlist for the 2025 ARIAS have been announced in a video stream from News UK in London.
The nominees have been revealed ahead of the Audio & Radio Industry Awards on Wednesday 14th May at Leicester Square’s ODEON Luxe.
The ARIAS nominees party was hosted at News UK by talkSPORT’s Natalie Sawyer and Jim White. There were also appearances from last year’s host Romesh Ranganathan, plus previous winners Scott Mills and National Prison Radio’s Lady Unchained, who also helped to announce the 169 nominees.
There are 21 awards to be won, including the brand-new category ‘Audio Brand of the Year’ which includes Goalhanger Podcasts, Tortoise Media, Apple Music Radio, BBC Sounds, Rayo and Yoto as nominees.
Once again, half of the commercial radio sector’s brands are missing from the cross-industry awards, including LBC, Heart, Capital, Smooth, Classic FM, Radio X and Gold, due to the conscious non-participation of the UK’s biggest commercial radio operator, Global.
