Breeze Essex is planning a live broadcast from Wembley Stadium this Sunday, 1st June from 11am – 3pm.
The OB will take place ahead of the National League Promotion Final between Southend and Oldham Athletic. It will include hearing from fans on Wembley Way before the game and reports throughout the match.
Station owner and presenter, David Baker, who will be hosting the programme, said: “Southend United were hours from going out of business a few months ago and what they’ve achieved is heroic.
“As a local radio station for the area, for me it’s hugely important we get behind them and join with the Southend football community on the day to cheer them on.”
