Mark Findlay is stepping into a new role as Senior Advisor at Global after leading the company’s Talent, Music and Artist Relations team for 24 years.
He will now support group programming projects, continue to contribute to music playlists, and represent Global in major industry partnerships.
Mark joined Global in 2001 as Programme Director at Beat 106 in Glasgow.
He later became Head of Music at Capital and went on to lead Global’s artist and talent relations work.
Over more than two decades, Mark helped shape key music projects and played a central role in the company’s live events. He has worked on 46 editions of Jingle Bell Ball and Summertime Ball, collaborating with artists and teams across the global music industry.
James Rea, Chief Broadcasting and Content Officer at Global, said Mark has been “the driving force” behind major events and “earned the respect of artists, managers and labels alike.”
Mark’s work has focused on building long-standing relationships with performers and helping shape the sound of Global’s stations.
He will remain closely involved with music programming and will continue to work with Global teams in his new role.
The company says his contribution over the years has been outstanding and that he will remain part of its ongoing strategy and development.
