Clive Dickens launches new global advisory company with original team

Clive Dickens has reunited with his former Absolute Radio leadership team to launch The Meliora Company, a new advisory business with a focus on AI transformation and digital product strategy.

The business will operate across London, Sydney and Los Angeles, and aims to support telecoms, media and technology brands worldwide.

Meliora says it is built on three core pillars: strategic and product development advisory, early-stage tech venture investment, and support for emerging creative talent through an IP fund.

“The pace of technological change is accelerating,” said Clive Dickens, Managing Partner. “Meliora is about redefining the skillset a boutique advisory can bring to medium and large enterprise.”

The launch team includes nine founding members, such as Anthony Abbott and Tony Moorey, who worked alongside Dickens during his time at Absolute Radio. Together, they were behind early digital radio innovation in the UK, including personalised audio ads and original podcast content.

The company’s advisory arm brings together experts from digital video and audio, telecoms and ecommerce, offering design-led product strategies with AI enablement at the centre.

Clive Dickens has held a number of executive and advisory roles in the UK and Australia, including at Capital Radio and Singtel Optus. He is also a founding director of Radioplayer and has previously advised companies such as Shazam and Audioboom.

More details about The Meliora Company are expected to follow as the team expands and takes on new clients.
