Jack Morlen has been appointed Director of Artist & Entertainment Relations at Global, overseeing artist bookings and entertainment partnerships across its major radio brands.
The promotion sees Jack take charge of the artist relations strategy at Capital, Heart, Smooth and other Global stations. He will also be responsible for securing talent for Global’s high-profile live events and guest-led content.
Jack joined Global six years ago and was most recently involved in putting together the line-up for this year’s Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard.
James Rea, Global’s Chief Broadcasting and Content Officer, said Jack has “helped shape some of our most memorable cultural moments – on air, online and on stage”.
He takes over responsibility for guest bookings from Mark Findlay, who is moving into a new position as Senior Advisor at Global.
Speaking about his new role, Jack said: “I’m incredibly proud to step into this new role after six amazing years at Global. Championing new artists and emerging talent has always been a passion of mine.”
He added that leading the team behind artist bookings for events like Capital’s Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball is “a real privilege”.
