Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, currently co-hosting BBC Radio 1’s Going Home Show, have rebranded their podcast NewlyWeds to NearlyParents as they prepare for parenthood.
The change reflects a new phase for the couple, who are expecting their first child and plan to document the journey to their podcast following.
Their temporary stint on Radio 1 marks the first time a married couple has co-hosted on the station. Sophie joins Jamie on-air every Monday to Wednesday until 18 June, filling in while both Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton are on maternity leave.
Jamie and Sophie’s podcast career began with NearlyWeds, which followed their wedding planning. It became NewlyWeds after they married, charting married life. Now, NearlyParents marks a third chapter in the evolving series.
Jamie said: “NearlyParents is going to be all about the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens of not only becoming parents, but how we also navigate everything life throws at us.”
Alongside their radio and podcast work, the pair have also presented at the 2025 BRIT Awards and red carpets for film and gaming premieres.
Their company, JamPot Productions, founded in 2022, is behind a growing network of podcasts including Great Company with Jamie Laing and Mad Sad and Bad with Paloma Faith.
