LBC presenter Vanessa Feltz is teaming up with her daughter, child therapist Saskia Joss, for a new weekly podcast aimed at helping families deal with anxiety and other parenting challenges.
Help! My Child’s Anxious launches on Thursday 26 June as a Global original podcast. It will cover everything from childhood anxiety to sibling issues, the teenage years, and how wider political and social changes affect families.
The podcast draws on Saskia’s clinical experience as a therapist and author, and Vanessa’s own journey as a parent and grandmother. Each episode will answer common questions from parents, carers and grandparents, offering practical advice and emotional support in an open, relatable way.
The launch comes as new Ipsos research shows that more than a quarter of parents in the UK have seen their children aged 4 to 17 struggle with anxiety or panic attacks in the past year.
Speaking about the series, Vanessa said: “We share the stories of our own relationship, alongside tips and tools, and we bring the perspective of two different generations to bear on children’s anxiety which is fast becoming a pandemic.”
Saskia added: “Parents need practical tools, guidance and a supportive, compassionate place to turn. Teaming up with my iconic mum to bring these conversations to life is a real privilege.”
Vanessa continues to host her weekend show on LBC every Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.
Episodes of *Help! My Child’s Anxious* will be released every week on Global Player and all major podcast platforms.
