Fun Kids and Morrisons launch farm to fork radio series

Fun Kids is launching a new monthly radio and podcast series with Morrisons focused on fresh, seasonal fruit and veg.

The project forms part of the supermarket’s wider advertising campaign and will run for a year across Fun Kids’ DAB radio station, website, podcast feed and online platforms.

The series, called the “Fruit & Root Crew”, is designed for children aged 6 to 12 and aims to make learning about healthy eating fun and accessible. Each episode will feature an audio adventure along with a game segment called the “Peel of Fortune”, introducing a new seasonal fruit or vegetable every month.

Behind the scenes, the partnership has been developed by Wavemaker UK and creative agency Leo Burnett. It includes content both on air and online, with videos and printable resources to support the educational campaign.

The shows explore how food is grown, harvested and enjoyed, with fun facts like how ripe cranberries can bounce and how rhubarb is harvested by candlelight. The initiative aims to help children understand more about where their food comes from and encourage families to make healthy food choices.

Gregory, Managing Director at Fun Kids, said: “Thanks to Morrisons, we’ve created something that’s fun, educational and sparks real curiosity about seasonal fruit and veg.”

Amelia from Morrisons added: “It is a fantastic way to encourage children to learn about healthy eating and the origins of their fruit and vegetables in a fun and engaging way.”
