Former Premier League academy footballers have joined KISS this week as part of a new internship.
The KISS Internship Programme is a five-week placement run by Bauer Academy, supported by the Premier League Futures scheme.
It offers former young footballers practical experience across media, marketing and audio roles at Bauer Media, including time in the KISS studios and offices.
During the internship, the group will gain hands-on experience in departments such as marketing, social media, sales and live broadcasting. They’ll also learn how to present, edit and interview in industry-standard radio studios.
As part of the programme, the interns will create an original podcast with help from mentors and trainers at Bauer Academy. They’ll also receive development sessions focused on AI, coaching, digital literacy and confidence building.
Rebecca, Content Director at KISS, said: “KISS is built on being relevant and accessible. That means reflecting the diverse voices of our audience – and bringing in new perspectives is vital to that mission. It’s a privilege to welcome these creative minds to the team.”
The initiative is designed to help participants build confidence, explore new career paths and transfer their skills from elite sport into creative and commercial industries.
It’s part of Bauer’s broader commitment to opening up opportunities for underrepresented talent in media.
