Olly Murs will perform at BBC Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford on Sunday 7 September.
The singer joins a line-up that includes Def Leppard, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Soul II Soul at Hylands Park.
Olly appeared live on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show this week with Scott Mills to confirm the news. He said: “It’s always amazing to play in my home county and even better to top off an incredible summer of shows with a date there.”
Radio 2 in the Park runs from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 September, and also features a full DJ stage line-up across the weekend.
Presenters including Sara Cox, Trevor Nelson, Michelle Visage, and Romesh Ranganathan will perform sets, alongside appearances from Gary Davies, Scott Mills, and Jo Whiley.
Helen Thomas, Head of BBC Radio 2, said: “To have so many of our unrivalled big name presenters taking to the decks again in the Radio 2 DJ tent is a real treat.”
Olly Murs is set to release a new single later this month, with a full album due by the end of the year.
