East Dorset-based radio station Bournemouth One has announced a new partnership with a local arts and entertainment venue.
A deal between Lighthouse Poole and Bournemouth One has been agreed with the radio station becoming a corporate partner and official radio station of the centre.
“We’re really excited to be working with the area’s newest commercial radio station,” says Sue Lloyd, Head of Development & Partnerships at Lighthouse.
“This new partnership will enable Lighthouse to reach even more people in the local community with news about world class arts and culture on their doorstep.
“Corporate partnerships at Lighthouse focus on hospitality, enhancing brand awareness, engagement with our customers and supporting the work we do with Dorset’s communities and schools.”
Roy Martin, Bournemouth One co-founder and CEO says: “We love music and providing entertainment so creating a unique partnership with the area’s premier music and entertainment venue is a perfect fit.
“New listeners are joining us every day online and on DAB, realising there is finally a local radio station prioritising local news and information whilst playing the best songs on the radio 24 hours a day!”
The deal means on-air advertising for Lighthouse Poole, which is home to a symphonic concert hall for the Bournemouth Symphonic Orchestra, multiple theatres, cinema, art galleries, cafe, and function rooms.
Bournemouth One, which broadcasts via DAB on the Now Digital / Arqiva Bournemouth multiplex, will be seen around the venue on digital screens and in promotional brochures.
Lighthouse Poole also recently hosted the Community Media Association’s annual festival.
