Rich Clarke will joining Bauer on a more permanant basis as the host of Saturday Breakfast at Magic.
The former Heart, Capital and Hit40UK presenter has been covering in recent months but this will be his first weekly gig.
The move forms part of a refreshed weekend line-up that also introduces new voices and time-slots across both Saturday and Sunday.
Rich will wake listeners each Saturday morning with a mix of music spanning the 80s to the present as weekends begin. He said he was “so thrilled to be joining the brilliant team at Magic Radio” and that he “can’t wait to get started and wake up the UK for Saturday Breakfast”.
The refreshed roster sees Mel Giedroyc providing the soundtrack to Saturday nights, while Anna Richardson takes on the Sunday Morning Request Show. Dan Morrissey will present a new weekend programme from 4pm to 7pm. On Fridays, Jo Russell will host The Perfect Playlist, and Paul Hayes will be on weekday overnights.
Content Director Paul Sylvester said he was delighted to welcome Anna and Rich to the Magic Radio family, noting they had “already made themselves very much at home”. He added that, with Mel’s new show and the existing team, “Saturdays and Sundays on Magic Radio are bringing all the fun to listener’s weekends”.
Rich Clarke started in radio at CFM, before moving south across the country taking in stints at Key 103, Wyvern and Trent before joining Capital then Heart, and more recently at Heart South doing Breakfast.
