BHBN Radio launches 39 hour Valentine fundraisings

BHBN Radio will broadcast 39 hours live to raise funds supporting its Birmingham community station.

The Valentine-a-thon will see the station run a continuous schedule of live programmes across Valentine’s weekend, with the focus on securing financial support to help sustain day to day operations and future output.

The marathon begins at 7am on Friday 14 February with Rich Pemberton presenting the opening programme from the Birmingham studios. It continues through the weekend, concluding with the Sunday Evening Show, presented by Paul Stanley from 8pm to 10pm.

Listeners and supporters are being invited to take part by requesting songs or making on air dedications in return for a donation to the station. There is also an option for individuals or organisations to sponsor individual programmes during the broadcast.

Andy Caddick, Publicity Officer and Presenter at BHBN Radio, said: “This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share their messages of love, and support the station that brings them music, news, and entertainment every day. We are grateful for every contribution, big or small, that helps us continue to broadcast.”

The station says the Valentine-a-thon will feature presenter interaction, listener messages and specially chosen music throughout the 39 hours, with the emphasis on audience involvement and local support for community broadcasting.
