Breakfast changes at Hot Radio as new CEO takes charge
Poole community station Hot Radio has appointed a new CEO and announced a new breakfast show for 2026.
Karl Davies, who previously hosted the breakfast show on the station in 2023, has returned for another stint.
Hot Radio says Karl Davies’ Breakfast show airs every weekday morning 7am till 10am and aims to provide listeners with an upbeat, engaging start to the day, whether they are preparing for work, the school run or simply enjoying breakfast at home.
Meanwhile, it’s all change at the top with former CEO Kevin Scott leaving and James Ross taking over as CEO.
James, from Bournemouth, started at BBC Radio Solent at the age of 14 before working at BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 in London, along with spells at Radio Top Shop and LBC. He now works for RTHK in Hong Kong and hosts a weekly syndicated radio show.
He says: “We are so pleased to have Karl back on-air at breakfast after a break.
“Going back through the years Karl has brought great songs and smiles to our mornings, with his warm and welcoming brand of entertainment. I do hope you can join him once again between 7 and 10am on Hot Radio.”
The rest of the schedule now includes Glen on Lunchtime, JoJo on afternoons, Sparky on Drive, and Niall Moloney on weekends.
