Central FM invests in local with new studio

Central FM has moved into a new state of the art broadcast centre in Bridge of Allan, reinforcing its commitment to local programming in the Forth Valley.

The independent station says the investment marks a long term commitment to listeners and advertisers across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire, as it enters a new phase after more than three decades on air.

Andrew McMurray, Station Manager at Central FM, described the move as a clear signal of intent for the business and the area it serves. He said: “This is more than a studio move – it’s a statement of intent. We are incredibly proud to be an independent local radio station serving the Forth Valley.”

Andrew added that investing in new facilities in Bridge of Allan demonstrates a long term commitment to growth and to broadcasting local radio from a local base.

The station launched on 25 September 1990 and has remained locally branded and locally programmed during a period of wider industry consolidation.

Recent RAJAR results confirm Central FM’s position as the number one commercial radio station in the area.

The new facilities are designed to support enhanced programming quality, stronger digital and social output, and increased commercial creativity for local advertisers.

Andrew said: “We believe in local radio, we believe in local business, and we believe in the future of Central FM.”
